Disney Moana Happy Tin Review

The Disney Moana Happy Tin is very happy indeed! It certainly cheered up our rainy sunday afternoon.

We were very lucky to be sent a Moana Happy Tin as part of parragon book buddies. Moana is the new disney film which is out this friday, 25th November.

So, What’s Moana about?

An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.

In the Happy Tin there is:

Moana Storybook, Activity Book, Colouring Book, 4 colouring pens, Stickers and a Double-sided Poster.

Nancy loved the tin straight away, she’d seen the trailer for the film at the cinema and was keen to see it, so having the Happy tin had real appeal. She went for the colouring book straight away and began to colour in.

The contents of the tin are of good quality, and the storybook is a paperback with glossy pages. Nancy loved reading the story, and this has got her even more excited about getting to the cinema to watch the film! The age range for the tin is 3-6, and I think the only part of the tin we haven’t really used as yet is the activity book which has puzzles, dot-to-dot, mazes etc within it which are more suited to the upper age range.

The tin is a great gift idea, and the contents are a good size for children and small enough to be able to take with you on car journeys or when out and about and needed some distractions for the kids!

The RRP on the back of the tin is £16.99 which I do think is rather expensive! I have however seen these tins at various shops for around the £5 mark which I think is much more reasonable and would make this a good buy for a christmas gift.

The Disney Moana Happy Tin gets the thumbs up from us!

We were sent the Moana Happy Tin to review as part of Parragon Book Buddies. All Thoughts and Opinions are our own.

Parragon Book Buddies! Review: Incy Wincy Spider

At Britmums the lovely Parragon Books were there, yielding books to review, and cupcakes too. As a lover of books (and cupcakes), I jumped at the chance of reviewing children’s books with Bubs. As she is 5 months old, I feel starting to read to her is very important, and a ritual I would like to keep up as she grows.

The Book pack was Incy Wincy Spider and I am Busy.

The Books

The Books

Now, as Bubs is only 5 months old, I thought I would review the Incy Wincy Spider Book first. The book is suitable from 0+ and is a puppet book, with a finger puppet incy wincy spider. The book helps with hand eye co-ordination, language development and encourages interactive play. I thought I would show you a video of us reading the book, as I think this says it all really! She LOVES this book. She really engages with the puppet, as well as the pictures. She also quite likes chewing the book, as you will see!

We have also started to read I am Busy, which she also enjoys looking at, but as it is for 1yrs+, it is a little old for her, and she keeps trying to eat the pull out bits! However I am sure she will love it as she gets older.

I love Incy Wincy Spider, and I love the finger puppet. It really does draw in the baby and helps them to engage with the book.

It’s been great reviewing these books and we look forward to reviewing more as part of the book buddies scheme.

I was given the two books, Incy Wincy Spider and I am Busy, for free at Britmums Live as part of the book buddies scheme.
