I have decided to link up with Ethans Escapades for Small Steps Amazing achievements, celebrating every small step a child takes in their development. I think this is a brilliant idea, and it has made me think more about when Bubs is doing, and achieving, and looking at everything she does, not just looking out for the ‘big’ milestones. Please go and check out the other blogs that have linked up.
Small Steps – Finding her Feet
Bubs is now 18 weeks and seems to be getting into everything. This week, for the first time, she found her feet. She started initially to look at them when she was sat on my lap, and when she had a patterned babygro on – I think she liked the pattern! However, it has gone from that to trying to grab them at any opportunity. She will do all she can to try and grab them and it’s driving her mad! She is managing to reach them more and more each day and it is fascinating to see her determination in getting to them. I see some babies can get their foot to their mouth and I don’t know if all babies can do that but she is trying her best to get it there!
By grabbing her feet, she is also starting to want to roll over more, and is enjoying being on her front. She is also doing awseome stomach crunches in order to reach her feet! I hope all this effort tires her out a bit!
She seems very pleased with herself when she manages to grab her feet. She is even helping me at nappy changes by trying to grab her feet!
She is definitely more aware of herself this week and seems keen to push herself to see what she can do! I am looking forward to seeing what she does next. It is amazing how much she can change in just a week, it really is amazing to see her working out the world around her.
